Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is; his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Romans 12: 1-2
Leader In Training is a fantastic way to prepare for a full summer of service at camp as a Jr. or Sr. Leader! MSBC is looking for young people who can demonstrate an ability to quietly serve others with joy without seeking attention or glory.
The Leader In Training program may challenge you more than you have ever been challenged before, but it may also be one of the most powerful experiences of your life. LIT ‘grads’ will be given preference for Summer Volunteer positions in the future. You must be between the ages of 14 and 16 to apply for this position!
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM SERVING AS A LEADER IN TRAINING?
WORK EXPERIENCE – Work Crew members work hard during camp. Cleaning dishes (285 place settings daily!), toilets, sinks, and floors takes up a huge part of every day (don’t think you are coming to camp for a holiday!). Yet, in the midst of all of this, there will be time every day for recreation – volleyball, hiking, riflery, and more! Your day will also include laughter, spontaneous fun, and many new relationships that become deep and rich as the days go by. A friend once told me that camp is the place with the longest days and shortest weeks! You’ll know what she meant if you participate in this great program!
SPIRITUAL GROWTH – You will be challenged and stretched as you build relationships through daily activities, Bible studies, and discussion times. You will be asked to go beyond your normal limits, and as you do so you will be able to see God work in and through you. Whatever the summer brings, it will provide ample opportunity for you to trust God more.
SKILL DEVELOPMENT – Maple Springs Bible Camp places an emphasis on skill development. You will have the opportunity to learn and participate in a range of activities.
If you are interested in getting involved in the LIT program at Maple Springs, please read the LIT information package completely before filling out your application.
